Painting Done!

Adam has finished the painting he was working on and it is for sale. If anyone is interested just make an offer. He spent about two weeks on the painting. The birds are an American Kestrel (North America's smallest falcon) and a Savannah Sparrow. Don't miss your chance to own a very rare Adam Compton orignal. :-)

Our puppy has grown up.

Some people have been asking about our puppy Darcy so I thought I'd post some pictures of him and the kids.

Adam's Art Work

Now that Adam is laid off he has started to draw and paint more. He is going to post photos of previous work and current projects for people to see. If you are interested in a piece or getting something done let us know.

This painting is a mastercopy that Adam did of a artist he really liked. We went ahead and included it here.

This is what he is currently working on, and it is still available for purchase. This is a male Kestrel Diving on a sparrow. The size is about 36" by 15."

ROME!!!

Over six years ago we made plans to visit Rome some day. Charity had lived there when she was nine years old for six months and fell in love with the place, and Adam has always wanted to see the great art and historical buildings. With our benefits we were finally able to make this dream a reality. We flew from Daytona Beach to Atlanta and then to Fort Walton Beach to drop off the kids with Charity's mom. We then flew back to Atlanta, and then first class non-stop to Rome. Charity really enjoyed being pampered on the flight and the 3-course meals were great also. After the nine hour flight we got through customs(a non affair) and figured out how to get to our hotel by train and walking.
The first day we visited the Pantheon, and Vatican terrace along with a lot of buildings I forget the names of. We walked about 12 hours on the first day and even longer on the second day.
The second day we visited the Collosseum and the inside of the Vatican. The Collosseum was a sight to see. Just standing there and knowing the history of it was amazing. The inside of the Vatican was unbelievably grand and beautiful -words and pictures don't do it justice. Unfortunately, the people who build it have caused many to go to hell.
We also went to see the tomb of the unknown soldier. The view from that building was amazing. We could see the Collosseum and many other old buildings and roads.

Illinois Trip

It has been an long time since we've blogged, but that has been due to the fact that we have been doing so much. Trips to Illinios and Italy being the highlights of the last three months. Adam was Laid off from his job in February and before we lost our flight benefits we traveled a little bit. Our trip to Ill. allowed the kids to play in snow, and we were able to leave the kids in Pensacola and fly first class to Rome. Adam's first overseas trip.

Ehtan in Ill. enjoying the snow before it melted.

The crushing machine still works!

Merry Christmas

Well, Christmas in the Compton household was great fun. The kids got spoiled big time, which they were very happy about. Lots of toys, an important thing to kids. My parents bought the kids a swing set. After the kids were asleep, it took Adam five hours to put it together in the dark. They sure enjoy it.
